Job Summary part time hours

 

Responsible for greeting all visitors to the Fitness Center and assisting with phone calls, paperwork and checking out equipment.

 

Responsibilities also include but are not limited to issuing guest passes, entering membership data into database, scheduling orientation appointments, and assisting with light cleaning.

 

Role and Responsibilities

 

  • Respond promptly to communications and follow through on commitments made to others
  • Show courtesy and respect to all customers
  • Listen openly to the ideas of others
  • Promptly correct areas of improvement as identified by your supervisor
  • Respond calmly and tactfully to problem situations
  • Discuss concerns in a constructive manner with persons who need to be involved
  • Greet members and guests as they enter the fitness center
  • Assist with initial registration, sign-in
  • Schedule orientations with Fitness Specialists
  • Assist members with information about fitness and wellness classes, activities and events. Staff are expected to be knowledgeable about each month’s calendar.
  • Assist with membership paperwork
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and friendly environment for members
  • Assist with cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment as needed
  • Use telephone and computer systems in an appropriate manner
  • Notify supervisor of any housekeeping or maintenance issues
  • Notify the proper department of any areas that need attention
  • Attend 75% of all fitness center meetings
  • Assist with ordering any needed office supplies
  • Follow all AAM and Solivita policies and procedures
  • Understand emergency preparedness and respond appropriately to all emergency situations
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations
  • Must have very flexible availability
  • Other related duties as directed

 

Required Skills/Abilities

 

  • Ability to use Microsoft Outlook programs. (Word, excel, publisher)
  • Must be outgoing and energetic.
  • Must have good customer service skills and desire to work with active adults.

Education and Experience

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years related experience required.
