Responsibilities
We are seeking highly diligent, confident candidates with substantial management experience for the role of communications specialist.
This position is Monday - Friday - may be required to work some weekends and holidays to cover events.
The Communications Specialist is responsible for communication of owner benefits, responsibilities, and experiences plus public perception of the community.
Monthly News Magazine (Celebration News) – Work in coordination with the management team, community contributors, and the publisher to compile, submit and edit content for the official magazine of Celebration.
Website (celebration.fl.us) - Built and maintained on WordPress. Update and maintain all pages of the community website with the most up-to-date information. The site contains both public and private-facing pages. Public pages contain general information about the community, business listings, events, facilities, rental information, communications channels, and things to do. The website also provides the opportunity to display important messages and/or links as an additional avenue to communicate, which management has utilized. Meeting information, which includes teleconference login information and agendas, is posted behind password-protected pages.
Community Email Notices & Friday Flash (Klayvio) -- Using Klayvio, CROA’s weekly e-newsletter is an opt-in service with a current list of about 4,000 active subscribers. Updates and the latest information for CROA owners are sent in the weekly newsletter on Friday’s and through separate notices on an as-needed basis.
Community Portal (CiraNet) – Keep CiraNet up to date with calendar events and information.
Mobile App (My Celebration FL) - Notify residents on an as-needed basis via push notifications using Celeservice, Celebration’s current mobile app.
Social Media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube) – Develop and post content for Facebook, Instagram & Twitter & YouTube accounts. Monitor all social media accounts interacting with users in a way that reflects positively on the Association. Entertain, engage, and provide quality customer service.
Klaviyo, Canva, Sendible - Proficient with communications technologies including Wordpress, Adobe Suite Products, and Microsoft Sharepoint.
Marquee Board/Bulletin Boards/ Community Signage/Flyers – Keep the Town Hall marquee board & amenity bulletin boards up to date with events and other important information. Create and print temporary community signage and flyers.
Digital Signage – Create digital signage campaigns.
New Resident Welcome Packet – Keep the new resident welcome packet up to date with the most current information.
Additional Duties
- Communications Committee - administrative support
- Board Elections and Annual Meeting – administrative support
- Lifestyle Events - assists Lifestyle team with event announcements, and reservations and will be required to work events.
- CROA photographs, videos, and archives -- secure, maintain, and store CROA photos, video and other images along with permission to publish.
Plus other work-related tasks as assigned by my supervisor.
Qualifications
Communications Specialist Requirements:
- A degree in Communications, Marketing or a related field is beneficial
- 5+ years of communications experience.
- Proficient with communications technologies including Wordpress, Adobe Suite Products, and Microsoft Sharepoint.
- Experience in community engagement.
- Clear and concise communication with team members and senior management.
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per/hr depending on education and experience
