Job Description

Community Association Services of Indiana is recruiting a qualified Maintenance Technician in the Michigan City, IN area. This position is on-site at a condominium association. Various maintenance duties depending on work orders received may consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

• Investigate, analyze, and repair minor electrical problems, including, but not limited to, changing photocells, repairing or replacing common area lights, timers, and telephone entry systems.
• Investigate, analyze, and repair minor plumbing problems; including, but not limited to, repairing toilets, faucets, irrigation systems, and water softeners.
• Investigate, analyze, and repair minor carpentry problems; including, but not limited to, repair or replacement of lattice, shutters, screens, siding, cornice, signs, fences, and mailboxes.
• Investigate, analyze, and repair other regular maintenance items, including, but not limited to, repairing window leaks, plugging holes in buildings, painting, repairing sheetrock, gutters, and downspouts.
• Uses cleaning chemicals safely and correctly.
• Removes garbage from common areas.
• Sets up meeting rooms for special events.
• Operates cleaning equipment.
• Drywall experience is a plus.
  
  

Requirements

Requirements:

• Minimum one year of experience in different phases of community or property maintenance.
• Must have clean DMV.
• Knowledge in all phases of basic construction and/or maintenance skills is needed.
• Use your own tools, be timely, responsible, and have excellent communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).
• Professional customer service skills.
• Knowledge of business correspondence (grammar, structure, punctuation, spelling, etc.).
• Knowledge of company policies, procedures and forms.
• Time management and time-critical prioritization skills.
