Associa is hiring an experienced Marketing and Communications Manager for its HOA community inWilliamsburg, VA.
The Marketing and Communications Manager will lead all communication efforts for the homeowners association. This role is essential in ensuring residents receive timely, accurate information and that the community’s brand, messaging, and values are consistently represented. Successful candidate will bedetail-oriented, creative, and community-focused.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive HOA communication strategy, including routine announcements, policy updates, and long-term communication planning.
- Manage all resident communications, such as Inside Kingsmill magazine, community alerts, board updates, emergency notifications, and event promotions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all communication matters, ensuring clarity, professionalism, and alignment with Board directives and governing documents.
- Manage the association’s website and digital platforms, ensuring content is updated, accurate, and easily accessible for residents.
- Oversee community branding and messaging, including signage, print materials, event collateral, and community-wide campaigns.
- Coordinate communication for Board meetings, including agenda distribution, meeting recaps, and summary reports.
- Support compliance and operations teams by drafting notices, reminders, and educational materials related to policies, rules, and community standards.
- Monitor community engagement, track analytics, and provide recommendations for improving resident participation and awareness.
- Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and partners to ensure that all external communications reflect community standards.
- Assist with special projects, community events, surveys, and strategic initiatives to enhance resident experience and community cohesion.
- Staff liaison between the communications committee and Inside Kingsmill Magazine to coordinating content and advertising for the printing firm.
- Other duties as requested.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field is highly preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in marketing or communications (HOA or property management experience highly preferred).
- Strong understanding of HOA operations, governance, meeting procedures, and resident communication best practices.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Proficiency with digital platforms including CMS systems, email management tools, and social media.
- Design experience using Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools.
- Ability to manage multiple communication streams with accuracy and professionalism.
- Strong customer service mindset and ability to remain composed when handling sensitive community issues.
