Job Title: Community Manager

Job Overview

Taylor Management Company is on the lookout for skilled and experienced Community Managers to join our dedicated team across New Jersey. In this pivotal role, you will facilitate effective communication between owners, residents, and the Board of Trustees, ensuring a seamless resolution of administrative matters and fostering a thriving community environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate with owners, residents, and the Board of Trustees through various platforms including written correspondence, phone, and email to resolve administrative issues.
  • Create, manage, and submit work orders to organize maintenance and repair activities.
  • Conduct regular inspections of community grounds and buildings to ensure upkeep.
  • Engage with Board members and address their inquiries in a prompt manner.
  • Attend monthly meetings with the Board of Trustees as necessary.
  • Coordinate capital improvement projects, ensuring alignment with community needs.
  • Address unit owners’ inquiries regarding common areas and conflicts, collaborating with the Board of Trustees for resolutions as required.
  • Review financial reports monthly and approve for distribution to trustees.
  • Ensure the organization maintains up-to-date and adequate master insurance policy coverage.
  • Lead the preparation and execution of annual election meetings for the association.
  • Collaborate on budget planning and review the annual budget with the Board for approval.
  • Review and authorize bills related to property management.
  • Enforce Association Documents and rules in accordance with established procedures.
  • Solicit and evaluate bids/services from contractors to meet community management needs.
  • Maintain detailed community records and incident reports in both physical and electronic formats.
  • Analyze monthly delinquency reports and take necessary actions in line with the association’s collection policy.

Required Skills

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in Community Association (COA) or Homeowner Association (HOA) management.
  • Strong project management expertise.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Availability for emergency calls 24⁄7.
  • Valid driver's license.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; higher education is preferred.
  • Industry-related designations such as CMCA, AMS, PCAM, CPM, or ARM are preferred but not mandatory.
