What You’ll Do

The Manager, SMB Growth Sales is responsible for overall team quota attainment, staff member professional development and management, and maintaining a high e-NPS score for the SMB Growth Sales Team.

  • Deliver at or above budgeted company goals on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Establish and coach to professional development plans that drive employee retention and employee career growth here at AppFolio.
  • Own team pipeline health and provide sales team with accurate and reliable forecasts. Demonstrate awareness of the state of your business at any given time, and prescribe solutions to your team when challenges arise.
  • Develop and deploy pipeline generation plans at the team and individual level to ensure company and rep level goals are consistently met.
  • Performance manage direct reports to ensure technique, efforts and company culture are upheld.
  • Articulate needs related to enablement and training to the appropriate internal teams, making sure requests can be directly tied to data-backed business impacts.
  • Ensure administrative duties are addressed in a timely manner, to include
    • Timecards & PTO Requests
    • SFDC Approvals & Ticket Submission
    • Out-of-office Coverage Plans
    • Compliance Related Legal Requests
  • Partner internally to ensure business related stakeholders are in alignment with your team needs and that they are apprised of relevant team updates and changes.
  • Achieve 100% budget attainment monthly, quarterly and annually as defined by the Finance team.
  • Run a predictable and up-to-date pipeline to ensure forecast accuracy for you and high level sales leaders.
  • Maintain at or above the team average e-NPS score from 2022.

Must-Haves

  • 3+ years of leadership experience
  • 4+ years of B2B full cycle sales or business development experience preferably in SaaS
  • Experience providing product software demonstrations in B2B environment
  • Experience with sales prospecting and managing a high volume sales funnel
  • Excellent presentation, communication, time management and listening skills with proven ability to influence an audience
  • Track record of high quota attainment
  • Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to diagnose prospect needs and build relationships through a consultative approach
  • An open mindset towards coaching and process change
  • Ability to uphold high ethical standards, putting AppFolio and clients above self
  • Strong experience with Salesforce, PowerPoint, Excel, Zoom or similar, Google Docs
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Compensation & Benefits

The base salary that we reasonably expect to pay for this role is: $80,000 - $120,000

The actual base salary for this role will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to: the candidate’s skills, education, experience, etc.

Please note that base pay is one important aspect of a compelling Total Rewards package. The base pay range indicated here does not include any additional benefits or bonuses/commissions that you may be eligible for based on your role and/or employment type.
