Job Description
As a member of CSSC’s management team, the Manager of Business Analyst’s primary function is the management of the Business Analyst team to streamline business processes. Responsibilities include planning, executing, implementing and monitoring those approved solutions, including custom developed solutions, out of the box solutions, and reporting solutions using PBI.
Position Duties And Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Direct, plan and manage the software, projects and strategies for the CSSC business analysts.
- Design and propose applications and business solutions that will support business objectives.
- Identify, validate and develop business cases for projects and applications. Example: Identify a new reporting solution and building the business case to support the efforts.
- Identify, validate and develop business cases for end user business solutions.
- Create, implement and monitor the execution of IT best practices as it relates to custom development, application management, design standards and reporting.
- Develop the team’s technical and operational proficiency resulting in enterprise-level executio
- Maintain knowledge of developments in the area of responsibility to assure that new developments are incorporated, in future systems of the Company.
- Evaluate existing CSSC Power BI dashboards and reports for areas to enhance and further develop.
- Effective collaboration and communication with ATG, IT Development and Digipos.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Knowledge and Skills
- Interpersonal skills are required to deal with personnel situations. The need to persuade, sell and build business cases for proposed application initiatives calls for a high degree of human relations skills.
- Management skills are required to successfully perform the planning, directing, reporting and administrative responsibilities of this position.
- A comprehensive knowledge of the information systems technology subjects and extensive knowledge software, with the ability to keep abreast of new technologies.
- Proficiency of business tools i.e. MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, Visio
Education And Work Experience
- Education: BS in business administration with an IT emphasis or computer science; Technical certifications a plus
- 8+ years of experience in the IT field; enterprise IT environment preferred
- Required experience: SQL, Power BI, translating business requirements into technical solutions, creating and executing test plans for enterprise systems
- Preferred experience: Developing websites; designing, implementing and monitoring the execution of Standard Operating Procedures
- Experience working in an environment with established SLA’s and escalations
- Leadership experience to include managing a team or acting as a team lead
- Strong background in planning, implementing and managing change
