Responsibilities

The Manager, Accounting Services will be responsible for:

  • Oversee ans supervise a team of Accountants
  • Provide training
  • Authorize time approvals,
  • Conduct performance reviews
  • Collaborate on department processes on policy adjustments, training plans and implementation, problem resolutions, and client satisfaction escalations
  • Assign projects to the other staff members to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies
  • Direct the day-to-day actions of the accountants assigned
  • Enforce the correct accounting policies, methods and principles
  • Meet financial objectives through collaboration and delegation
  • Plus other work relates tasks as needed

The Accounting Manager will report to Director, Accounting Services

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Accounting degree from a 4-year accredited college / university preferred
  • 2 years minimum experience as an Accounting Manager
  • Supervision of an accounting department with a minimum of 3 employees
  • Real estate, property management and/or outsourced accounting / bookkeeping industry experience strongly preferred
  • Hands on experience with a mid to upper tier accounting software package
  • Demonstrated experience with a systems conversion and balance transfer
  • Exceptional computer skills (power user)
  • Excellent grasp of basic accounting theory and methods of accounting (accrual, cash and modified cash)
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Strong interpersonal/communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic, challenging, high change/growth environment

Pay and Benefits:

$60,000 to $90,000, depending on education and experience.
