Job Description

The Dartmouth Group, an Associa company, is hiring a PART TIME Maintenance Technician for its community in Boston, MA., https://www.thedartmouthgroup.com/.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance duties of Associations involving mostly exterior carpentry, painting, plumbing repairs, electrical repairs and minor roofing repairs in addition to other exterior responsibilities to guarantee that the communities we manage are properly and safely maintained.

Work hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 1pm.

Daily responsibilities:

• Walk and inspect community to ensure the community is clean and well maintained.
• Change out light bulbs, light sockets, and light fixtures, investigate leaks, light carpentry work, drywall repair, patch work, and paint.
• Investigate trash containers to ensure trash is picked up in and around the area, and the exterior of the buildings.
• Winterize the community, ensuring salt buckets are full and spread salt outside of doorways.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that building systems operate efficiently and that the physical condition of buildings do not deteriorate.
• Clean and repair building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters and drains.
• Contact, schedule, and meet with outside maintenance vendors onsite for cleaning and janitorial services, snow removal services, and landscaping.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Required.
• 2+ years of general, residential, maintenance experience.
• Excellent communication skills, written and spoken.
• Customer service focused and team oriented.
• Self-motivated, proactive, takes the initiative, with strong follow-up skills.
• Time management and time critical prioritization skills.
• Valid driver's license is required.
