Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance duties of Associations involving mostlyexterior carpentry, painting, plumbing repairs, electrical repairs and minor roofing repairs in addition toother exterior responsibilities to guarantee that the communities we manage are properly and safelymaintained.

Work hours: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 7am-3pm

Pay rate:$25-$27 an hour

Daily responsibilities:

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that building systems operate efficiently andthat the physical condition of buildings do not deteriorate.
  • Perform maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical repairs toensure that the building is properly maintained.
  • Clean and repair building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors,gutters and drains.
  • Operate and perform routine maintenance and repairs on systems & equipment as needed.
  • Maintain company issued vehicle (routine PM’s, oil changes etc.), if applicable.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Required.
  • 3 -- 5 years of directly related or closely related experience.
  • Excellent communication skills (spoken and written, follow-up skills, and customer service skills are required.
  • Ability to review work order tickets, prioritize tasks, manage time well, and interpret and complete verbal and written instructions.
  • On time, reliable, dependable, self-motivated, proactive, and takes the initiative.
  • Knowledge of general maintenance requirements, (documentation, safety, required reporting,regulations, etc.)
  • Knowledge of electrical and plumbing codes and maintenance requirements, (documentation,safety, required reporting, regulations, etc.) andOSHA worksite and personal safety requirements.
  • May be required to provide own basic tools (power drill, power saw, screwdrivers, level,hammer, etc.)
