Pay: $17 per hour

A Maintenance Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and repairing building fixtures including lights, locks, walls, floors, windows, doors, window and door screens, flooring material, gutters and drains.
• The maintenance technician will take care of the duties involving carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical repairs to guarantee that the building is properly and safely maintained.
• Maintain BuildingLink Work Order System.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that the building systems operate efficiently and that the physical condition of the buildings do not deteriorate.
• Operate and perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment and related systems.
• Maintains a cooperative relationship with CAM to maintain confidence and use the Tech as a resource.
• Professional Communication Skills -Communicates regularly with CAM, looks for work when needed.
• Professional Customer Service Skills.
• Janitorial services for pool / employee bathrooms and marina trash, as needed.
• General Supervisory coordination with Building Custodian and outside contractors.
• Ordering, sourcing parts needed for repairs, etc.
• Supply Runs and ordering to include, but not limited to: Home Depot, Sherwin Williams Paint and Ferguson.
• Storm Preparation, Daily Walkthroughs.
• Maintain inventory of all equipment and parts.

• Non-typical office environment, frequent standing, walking, talking etc. both inside and out.
• Typical outside working environment -- frequent standing, walking, lifting, pushing and/or moving heavy objects using proper lifting techniques or tools and/or operating powered equipment using proper safety techniques or tools.
  
  

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Required
• 3 - 5 years of directly related or closely related experience
• Bilingual - English/Spanish
• Knowledge of general maintenance requirements
• Ability to safely use a variety of hand and power tools
• Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.)
• Professional customer service skills
