Job Description

The Maintenane position is for Associa's South Florida Branch, Marquis Association Management. Marquis is a boutique property management provider that works exclusively with Luxury High Rise and Mid Rise Condominiums and Developer Properties.

CLIENT PROPERTY: Luxury Property Fisher Island

Sun - Thu 8:30am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 5:30pm which is primary schedule but needs to be open to flexiblity and one weekend shift.

FULL TIME POSITION offering Benefits

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and paint surfaces using professional painting techniques and tools including, but not limited to, measuring surfaces, applying spackle and plaster, mixing paint, matching paint and using brushes, rollers, spray-guns and proper drop clothes and taping to protect all surfaces.
  • Properly matches colors and mixes paint appropriately.
  • Takes a pro-active approach to job inspecting all common areas that may need painting and advises Maintenance Supervisor of additional work needed.
  • Ensures all safety precautions are followed while performing work and performs proper cleanup at the end of each shift.
  • Maintains excellent working relationship with Condo Hospitality Staff and Management.
  • Completes daily work orders as scheduled and updates work order log on computer or paper log depending on building.
  • Manage painting and cleaning supply inventory.
  • Onsite Light maintenance duties.

POLITE AND COURTEOUS, FRIENDLY, HAPPY TO WORK WITH PEOPLE, POLITELY COMMUNICATE WITH RESIDENTS, PROPERTY MANAGERS AND PROPERTY MANAGEMENT COMPANY. MUST ARRIVE FOR SHIFT PROMPTLY

Requirements

  • A minimum of one 1-2 year(s) experience working as a professional painter in a commercial, industrial, or hotel / large condominium setting specifically with interior paint finishes.
  • Experience painting interior walls, trim, doors, etc.
  • Experience with sheetrock repair and prep for paint.
  • Must be familiar with Oil and Water based paint and where different finishes and techniques should be used

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS / PHYSICAL JOB DEMANDS;

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs following appropriate safety procedures.
  • Work in an upright standing position for extended periods of time with ability to crouch and reach while painting, climb ladders and work at heights above ground level using appropriate safety equipment (1st floor level).
  • Must be flexible with work hours and be able to work weekends if necessary and respond to emergencies.
