Job Description
Sentry Management has an immediate opening for an experienced Maintenance Tech in our St. Louis division.
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the quality completion of all maintenance tasks and projects at their assigned association. Duties may vary from routine repairs and preventative maintenance to projects and miscellaneous items as assigned by the association. This position requires interaction with homeowners, vendors, HOA community managers, and the Association Board of Directors. The Maintenance Technician maintains policies, standards, and practices and ensures adherence to Sentry’s Goals, Value, and Service Standard of our Foundation Principles.
This description is general and may be modified to fit the needs of the specific assigned association.
General Maintenance Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain access control systems for entry gates and other electronic facilities
- Inspect pool maintenance systems and communicate with pool maintenance contractors as needed.
- General cleaning and maintenance of pool and pool equipment, including chairs and tables, and monitoring pool water level
- General building and property maintenance
- Sprinkler system inspection, maintenance, and minor repair
- Inspect grounds for trash and debris and clean as needed, especially around pool area, main roadway, facilities, and common areas
- Clean and maintain sidewalks and high traffic areas, including power washing
- General trash collection on ground, by pool, restroom facilities, and clubhouse
- Ensure grass and landscaping are maintained
- Minor trimming or pruning of trees, shrubs or bushes
- Inspect and repair exterior lights
- Minor electrical repair, engage with electrician when needed
- Inspect, maintain and clean exterior windows of clubhouse or other facilities as required
- Maintain the tool area/pump room/ storage facility and keep clean and tidy, protect company and association property
- Inspect and maintain boat ramp, if applicable
- Inspect and maintain buildings, monitor for any damages, and repair and replace as needed
- Inspect and maintain tennis courts, basketball courts, or other amenities as applicable
- Inspect and maintain drainage system; flush and monitor annually
- Repair and replace locks
- Clean and maintain the interior and exterior of the clubhouse or common area as required by the association; this includes general housekeeping duties
- Continually inspect grounds for safety hazards and repair or remove as needed
- Repair and level walkway blocks
- Ensure all signage is in good repair and legible
- Work with Community Manager by observing and reporting hazardous situations or potential violations during property visits.
- Maintain maintenance records, supplies and tools
- Remove mildew from and paint exterior surfaces
- Minor plumbing repairs as needed, engage with professional plumber when required
- All other duties as assigned by manager or Association Board of Directors

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, bend, climb and walk for up to 8 hours per day
