Join our Team! Leland Management is seeking a Maintenance Tech for the Summerfield, FL area. Summary: Provides maintenance for all facilities, including both indoor and outdoor facilities of the community centers. This position will alternate between working indoors in a well-lighted, temperature-controlled work area, in an outdoor setting with variable climate and lighting. Effectively and efficiently work through interruptions and changes in priority matters.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Inspect outside Common Property daily. Blow all debris from bocce courts, tennis courts, shuffleboard courts, basketball courts, horseshoe pits, playgrounds, sidewalks, pool, and all parking lots.
  • Pressure wash building exteriors, gutter/curbing, and pool decks as scheduled.
  • Assist with pool deck furniture relocation/reset.
  • Pick up trash and limbs along all roads. (All)
  • Repaint and repair outside walls, parking lot lines, and building doors and trim as needed.
  • Follow a preventive maintenance schedule for equipment
  • Drive maintenance carts on the premises safely and slowly.
  • Repair and maintain signage where practical.
  • Inspect and replace light bulbs as needed in/on all buildings.
  • Repair or replace furnishings and equipment where practical.
  • Repair and maintain equipment where practical.
  • Repair and maintain doors, windows, and walls where practical.
  • Assist in other tasks or projects as requested by management

Requirements

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be capable of driving a car and possess a valid driver's license.
  • Position involves sifting, standing, and/or movement. Position requires the ability to exert a minimal force of up to 50 pounds and minimal force to carry, lift, push, pull, and otherwise move objects frequently.
  • Physical activities include balancing, climbing, crouching, crawling, fingering, grasping, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, stooping, and writing.
  • Ability to exchange and receive information through written and oral communications and make sound discriminations. Must be able to speak in a clear and understandable voice so that communications may be conducted with people of various levels of education and skills.
  • Physical ability to sustain movements, especially of the fingers, wrists, hands, or arms. Must be physically and intellectually capable of operating computer, printer, telephone, and various other types of business equipment
  • May work extended hours and on weekends when required.

Education: Some high school or its equivalency.

Experience: One to three years of general working experience. Maintenance experience preferred.

Positive Traits and Skill Set: Must be self-motivated, flexible, organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize. Able to function effectively under stress and interruptions. Ability to delegate work efficiently.
