Job Description
The golf course Irrigation Technician isresponsible for the maintenance, service, repair, and maintenance of the irrigation system. This position reports to the Superintendent. The Irrigation Technician is responsible for preventive maintenance and repair of existing irrigation and the installation of new irrigation.

Wage Range: $16.50 - $19.50 per hour depending on experience.

Requirements

- Water greens, tees, and fairways.
- Operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water.
- Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as needed.
- Completes requests for irrigation and course parts and supplies.
- Grades and prepares soil base; lays sod; seeds greens, tees, and fairways.
- Operates dump trucks and other light equipment in hauling materials and removing debris.
- Occasionally supervise a small labor force for special projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of tools, methods and materials used in grounds and landscape area maintenance work.
- Ability to operate light motorized equipment.
- Knowledge of general maintenance requirements, (documentation, safety, required reporting, regulations, etc.)
- Knowledge of State or local governmental safety requirement
- Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team play
- Ability to follow oral and written directions.
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- 0-3 years of directly related or closely related experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
