Summary: The Maintenance General is responsible for performing various maintenance functions that are necessary to maintain and enhance the value of the community. This position has significant interaction with residents, staff, contractors, and members of the Board of Directors, and its Committee members.

Requirements

Job Type: Part Time, Sunday – Saturday Hours 8 AM – 5 PM (15-20 hours per week)

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Daily inspection of the community center inside and outside amenities.
  • Manage outdoor lighting of Building lights, and Landscape Lights.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the restrooms.
  • Maintain current supply of Materials.
  • Process daily work requests and repairs as requested.
  • Prioritized daily workload and schedule for self.
  • Coordinate tasks associated with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot HVAC systems.
  • Repair and treat structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors, cabinets, walls and building exteriors/interiors.
  • Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned.
  • Assist with maintenance of grounds such as trash pick-up and dumpster area clean out.
  • Assure safety practices are used which comply with all company, local, city, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Follow policies and procedures and comply with Fair Housing, state, and federal laws.
  • Practice and adhere to Keystone’s Core Values, Mission and Vision.
  • Any additional job duties as required by the Board President and supervisor.

Qualification Requirements

  • Must have a valid CA Driver’s License.
  • Must have reliable transportation and the ability to drive within the community.
  • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, painting, masonry, carpentry, and drywall.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems· Follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate.
  • Must be committed to providing excellent customer service.
  • Available to perform emergency repairs after hours.
  • Ability to climb up to 40 feet and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Education And/or Experience

  • 2 or more years of experience working in a Facilities or Maintenance related role.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
