Job Description

Beautiful golf course community in North Fort Myers is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to join our TEAM.

General Purpose:

  • The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for performing general daily ongoing maintenance of the common grounds, troubleshoot, repair and maintain areas. Provides liaison between management and vendors. Creates a team approach to facilitate the operations of the Association property.

Responsibilities:

  • General maintenance skills to include but not limited to painting, basic repair, general construction, and general knowledge of property
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
  • Working knowledge of plumbing and preform assigned tasks and preventive maintenance
  • Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical workings and preform assigned tasks and preventive maintenance
  • Working knowledge of fire sprinkler system and preform assigned tasks and preventive maintenance
  • Maintenance and pool chemical knowledge and preform assigned tasks
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or needed by the manager or Board of Directors

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma and/or equivalent diploma
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Working knowledge of basic construction, electrical, plumbing systems, with at least three years’ experience in a similar role or in the building and construction trades.
  • Ability to use a variety of common hand and power tools while performing duties
  • Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects (up to forty pounds) and negotiate stairs and ladders.
  • Basic computer literacy, with ability to text and email.
  • Attention to detail, multi-task and work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Sound business judgment and initiative in determining the appropriate approach to take in non-routine matters.
  • Commitment to continuous self-improvement.
  • Must agree to a background check and drug screening.
  • Ability to work outside in Florida climate

Reports To:

The Maintenance Coordinator reports directly to the Community Assocation Manager.

Compensation: This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday.

Pay - $22 to $25//hr depending on experience.
