Job Summary

 

The Lifestyle Operations Manager will provide direction and focus to all lifestyle components of the community designed to enrich the quality of life and enhance the vibrancy of the community for residents. Responsible to produce events from conception through to completion and directing the coordination of events or activities ensuring deadlines and budgets are adhered to.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Increase membership by creating programs/events that appeal to all age groups within the association.
  • Develop and manage annual budget and review/control associated expenditures.
  • Attend all community events and act as event administrator or delegate same to designated staff or vendor.
  • Provide staff support and guidance to the General Manager, to the Association Board of Directors, LAG Committee and other team departments as necessary.
  • Plan, coordinate and implement programs, classes and special community wide events.
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service, communication, and time management skills
  • Assist residents with questions or concerns
  • Provide off administrative support as requested
  • Create and publish weekly and monthly updates. Manage website and advertising.
  • Responsible for all aspects of event planning
  • Will need to learn and work with our Connect System as well as security systems Verkada and MyQ.
  • Needs to read and understand FirstService Residential Employee Handbook and SOP’s.
  • Needs to read and understand the Associations homeowner handbook, policies and procedures.
  • Responds to emergency situations in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Order and monitor food trucks and lifestyle vendors.
  • Monitor trends in lifestyle programming to help to create diversity in programs offerings.
  • Attend weekly Sky Bar Meetings, work with Sky Bar staff on various aspects of operations.
  • Code and approve lifestyle invoices through payment processing system (AVID).
  • Assist with coordinating and scheduling necessary repairs with vendors.
  • Perform such additional duties and responsibilities as may be required by the Master Association, FirstService Residential or the Harbour Isle on Anna Maria Sound community.

Education & Experience

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation, Hospitality or Education or equivalent lifestyle work experience.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies

 

  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Ability to work within established Personnel Policies, Procedures and Agreements
  • Skills to effectively prioritize and execute assigned tasks
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and building a team environment.
  • Build trusting relationships by acting with integrity, courtesy and responsibility.
  • Maintain proficiency as needed by attending trainings as needed.
  • Dress appropriately for a workplace with frequent resident interaction and community outreach.
  • Meet all required standards of safety and maintain areas in clean and orderly manner.
  • Ability to accurately forecast required resources and personnel to complete all assigned projects on time and within budget.
  • React to workload and project adjustments/alterations proactively and effectively.
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Provide and communicate on a regular basis the following information for all lifestyle activities (status, issues, concerns, timing, budgets and manpower)

 

Tools & Equipment Used

 

Computer and peripherals, standard and customized software applications and tools, and usual office equipment to include, but not be limited to, phone, fax machine, copier, etc.

 

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

 

  • Capable of working extended hours, to include evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary.
  • Must be able to speak English in a clear and understandable voice so that various types of communications may be conducted with people of various levels of education and capabilities, to include the exchange and receipt of information over the telephone.
  • Position involves sitting, standing, stooping, keeling, pushing, shoving, lifting, carrying and moving objects that can weigh up to 50 lbs. This movement can occur throughout the day.
  • Must be able to interact with all types of individuals, be mentally alert, detailed oriented and with good reasoning skills.
  • Must have finger dexterity for typing/using keyboard.
  • Must be able to work on more than one assignment at a time with frequent interruptions, changes and delays. Must be able to remain focused and work effectively, efficiently and cheerfully under such circumstances.
  • For safety reasons, employee must remain alert to working conditions and aware of safety, health and environmental concerns.
  • Must be able to work effectively and cheerfully in an environment which may be stressful due to adversarial situations resulting from the proper performance of duties.
  • Must be able to be creative especially with outdoor events when weather doesn’t permit.
  • Must be able to plan ahead and forecast for the next year.
  • Must be able to work under pressure for deadlines.
  • The employee may be required to work at a computer and speak on the phone for extended periods of time
  • Must possess a valid Florida drivers license
