Job Profile
Overview of Role:
The Lifestyle Event Director is responsible for the production of events from conception through to completion and directing the coordination of events or activities ensuring deadlines and budgets are adhered to. Events can include: festivals, conferences, fundraising and social events, exhibitions and fairs, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, charity events, sales and business meetings.
What will you be doing? (Some of your main responsibilities include):
- Research market to identify opportunities for events.
- Liaising with clients to ascertain their precise event requirements and needs.
- Book venues and negotiate fees.
- Selling sponsorships/stand/exhibition space to potential exhibitors/partners.
- Produce detailed proposals for events (e.g. timelines, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing and budgets).
- Ensure insurance, legal, health and safety obligations are adhered to.
- Ensure staff is adequately prepared for proper event procedures.
- Work with management to develop and implement a departmental financial budget.
- Coordinate staffing requirements and schedules.
- Coordinate venue management, caterers, designers, contractors and equipment for hire.
- Plan room layouts and the entertainment program for the event.
- Organize facility for parking, security, and safety.
- Oversee the dismantling and removal of the event and clearing the venue efficiently.
- Ensure day of event goes smoothly.
- Provide management with post-event evaluation and cost/revenue analysis.

- Ability to lead people to work together for common goals.
- Provide a positive image of Community Activities Center to our homeowners.
- Ability to create and work within an approved budget.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently, be self-driven and plan and prioritize needs
