Description

Primary responsibilities are centered on strategic planning of all resident programs within Toscana at Desert Ridge Condo Association. This involves big picture thinking backed by a focus on the tactical aspect of planning events and activities such as: Recreational, social, travel, cultural, educational and entertainment.

Position Responsibilities

  • Partners with the Community Manager to identify, coordinate and market all community events, programs and services using the website, newsletters, calendars, flyers, etc.
  • Responsible for the Series 14 Liquor License management requirements, and the budget and inventory of alcohol.
  • Oversees support staff and facilitators to ensure facilities, events, classes and customer service meets the needs of the residents.
  • Oversees fitness activities and programs by working within Community policies to set-up and maintain instructors and trainers to meet the needs of residents.
  • Develops an active volunteer program among residents, solicit input and involvement from residents to stimulate awareness and participation.
  • Works with residents to assist in the establishment of interest groups and chartered clubs.
  • Secures all entertainment, food, decorations, and items necessary to carryout events.
  • Responsible for creating and working within an annual budget approved by the Board.
  • Oversees the operation of the membership desk and/or retail counter as applicable to ensure adequate staffing, policy and procedure implementation and administration, asset control and required documentation. Includes covering the front desk yourself as required/needed.
  • Oversees the New Resident Orientation.
  • Attends Board, club and committee meetings as required.
  • Assesses overall success of events through focus groups and evaluations.
  • Performs other duties as directed.

  • Ability to design and coordinate programs that enrich the quality of life and enhance the vibrancy and overall experience of living within an HOA Community.
  • Effective and dynamic public speaking skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills paired with high energy, initiative, and enthusiasm.
  • Computer proficiency with respect to Microsoft Office Suite, database software, internet and website portals, point of sale system, registration processes, policies and procedures, equipment, material and products, etc.
  • Ability to lead people and get results through others.
  • Ability to interact and work positively and effectively with staff, volunteers and board members at all levels.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions, changes and delays while remaining focused.
  • Ability to problem solve exercising good judgment and decision making.
  • Ability to adapt and adjust to change.
  • Possessing or obtaining the Basic and Management Title 4 Certificate will be required.
  • Required to be trained in CPR and other basic first aid.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Position involves sitting, standing, and movement throughout the day.
  • Must be able to set up and break down events as needed. Including lifting, stacking and moving tables, chairs and equipment.
  • Utilizing a computer in an office setting.
  • Capable of working extended hours, to include evenings, weekends and holidays.
