Job Description
The Lifestyle Director will oversee the performance and operations of a recreational facility. They will manage staff and must make sure that they hire the right people for the right activities. They conduct performance evaluations in a timely manner.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Oversee recreation events to ensure that they meet specific goals, guests’ interests and needs and corporate philosophies.
- Manage, develop and lead recreation staff by recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, and reviewing the performance of all staff employees.
- Develop, plan, and implement enjoyable programs and activities for guests to promote fitness, wellness and enrichment.
- Keep records to improve future recreation planning, documenting guest reception and participation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Skills and Knowledge:
- Knowledge of company policies, procedures and forms at an expert level.
- Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques at an expert level.
- Knowledge of State of local governmental safety requirements.
- Knowledge of general office equipment (copier, fax, phone systems, etc.).
- Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).
- Professional customer service skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.
- Interpretation and completion of verbal and/or written instructions at a expert level.
- Time management and time critical prioritization skills.
- Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish fluent)
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- 7 – 10 years of directly related or closely related experience
- 5 – 7 years of Management and/or Supervisory experience
