Lifeguard (PT Seasonal) - Eldorado Association (Santa Fe, NM)
HOAMCO is seeking Lifeguards for the 2026 pool season for the ECIA HOA. We are looking for Lifeguards who are responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of residents and guests using the pool facilities at ECIA. This includes monitoring pool activities, enforcing pool rules, responding to emergencies, and providing a clean and safe swimming environment. The Lifeguards will work closely with the pool management team to maintain high safety standards and ensure that the community pool remains a safe and enjoyable space for all.
Duties:
Monitor Pool Area: Regularly scan the pool area, including the water and surrounding areas, to prevent accidents and ensure safety.
Enforce Pool Rules: Uphold and enforce all HOA pool rules and regulations, ensuring that all swimmers are following proper safety guidelines.
Respond to Emergencies: Be prepared to react quickly in case of an emergency, including performing water rescues, administering first aid, or CPR when necessary.
Maintain Pool Area Safety: Check pool equipment and ensure the area is clean, organized, and free from hazards. Report any issues to the Pool Manager.
Provide First Aid: Administer basic first aid and CPR when needed. Keep a record of any incidents or injuries.
Assist with Pool Maintenance: Support pool maintenance staff in keeping the pool area clean and orderly. This includes helping with pool deck cleaning and ensuring safety equipment is in good condition.
Communication: Provide clear and courteous communication with residents and guests, offering assistance as needed while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Attend Training: Participate in ongoing training and certification to ensure current lifeguard skills, including CPR, first aid, and emergency response procedures.
Work Schedule: Be available for scheduled shifts, which may include weekends, evenings, and holidays, to ensure proper coverage during peak pool hours.
Qualifications:
Current Lifeguard Certification (American Red Cross or equivalent)
CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification
Ability to remain calm and focused in emergency situations
Strong communication and customer service skills
Physical fitness and ability to perform rescues and other physical tasks as required
Must be at least 15 years of age
Working Conditions:
Outdoor work environment, with exposure to various weather conditions
Poolside duties with potential for extended periods of sitting or standing
Occasional lifting of pool equipment and materials
