POSITION OVERVIEW Our engineering team prioritizes creating excellent systems via rapid iterations, collaboration, and peer review. We are a DESIGN FIRST organization, and we are looking for a Lead Designer who will own and drive the overall designs of our suite of products. This individual will actively mentor individuals working on various designs as well as consolidate our branding and user experiences across our entire portfolio. As the Lead Designer you will be working with highly skilled teams of Product Managers, Product Owners and Senior Engineers delivering multiple product lines and supporting our corporate web presence. You will be responsible for managing the design elements within our Software Development Life Cycle for each product. This position may be based In Denver CO. All candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Overall responsibility for revising the User Experience of each product and new products
  • Design new features within each product and cross product features
  • Find common ground between product sets to bring cohesion to each product
  • Plan and illustrate concepts by designing rough layouts of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetics
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including Marketing, in the design concept phase through completion of a project
  • Obtain approval of concepts by preparing rough layouts for review
  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending design workshops; reviewing professional publications; and participating in professional societies
  • Establish processes to resolve dependencies and communicate clearly with stakeholders for smoother releases
  • Coordinate with the Product organization on delivering to the communicated roadmap
  • Help the Development team improve the overall product experience with a focus on usability and a delightful user experience
  • Maintain a working prototype of selected products for use by the product and Sales teams presenting to current and prospective customers
  • Provide supervisory and leadership responsibilities for the design team members, managing their career development and ensuring day-to-day excellence in delivering exceptional designs
  • Performs other duties as requested by management


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS or equivalent work experience preferred
  • You want to be part of something that is GRAND, and you want to take responsibility for delivering excellence
  • Extensive experience with FIGMA for designing software features
  • Extensive experience with FIGMA for building prototypes
  • Experience with Web, Mobile, and Desktop designs
  • You have good communication and organizational skills
  • You can articulate concepts well and drive to your vision
  • Great creativity
  • You have experience leading a diverse team of quality designers
  • Ability to think out of the box
  • Staying current with the latest trends in software design and usability
  • You love fostering career growth and building a strong team culture
  • You enjoy working collaboratively with product managers to build quality products
  • You understand that celebrating accomplishments is just as important as looking for ways to improve
  • In-depth knowledge of design and software development processes and best practices
  • Familiar with and can design to ADA compliance
