Lead Server-Palm Bar

Position Title: Lead Server

Reports To: F&B manager

Location: The Palm Bar

Employment Type: Full-Time

Rate: $15.00 per hour plus tips

Job Summary

The Lead Server at the Palm Bar is responsible for providing exceptional guest service while supporting the service team to ensure smooth and efficient operations. This individual will serve as a leader on the floor, assisting with training, mentoring, and overseeing day-to-day service. The Lead Server is expected to set the standard for hospitality, communicate effectively with both front and back-of-house staff, and act as a resource for team members.

Key Responsibilities

Service Leadership:

• Lead by example, delivering outstanding guest service and ensuring service standards are consistently met.
• Act as a liaison between servers, bartenders, food runners, and management to maintain a seamless dining experience.
• Assist with table management, guest inquiries, and conflict resolution.
  
  

Training And Development

• Provide hands-on training for new servers and assist with ongoing staff development.
• Deliver constructive feedback and coaching to ensure service excellence.
  
  

Operational Support

• Oversee section assignments and adjust as necessary based on volume and staffing.
• Assist with pre-shift meetings to communicate daily specials, events, and priorities.
• Ensure side work, opening, and closing duties are completed to standard.
  
  

Administrative Duties

• Track server performance and report feedback to management.
• Assist with input on scheduling and floor planning.
  
  

Guest Relations

• Proactively address guest concerns, resolving issues with professionalism and urgency.
• Provide recommendations and promote menu items to enhance the guest experience.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of serving experience in an elevated casual or fine dining environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage operations.
• Experience with POS systems and restaurant technology.
