Position Description: The Assistant Chief Engineer is responsible for performing maintenance and repair of all mechanical systems within a property.
Position Duties:
Duties include but not limited to the maintenance, repair, and operations of Lighting, Plumbing & HVACR equipment.
Other systems include chilled water systems, boilers, Fire Life Safety devices and all MEP systems
The Engineer must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned
Responsible to assist in implementation and completion of preventive maintenance and repairs
Responds to tenant requests and work orders in a timely fashion
Assists with the implementation and team’s adherence to work and safety procedures
Perform equipment inspections, repairs, and conduct preventative maintenance tasks
Assist in the implementation of quality assurance, PM & emergency response programs
Obtain quotes for approvals, order and manage parts, inventory, equipment
Ensures that all shop equipment, tools, and inventory are properly maintained and conform to safety standards.
Promotes good housekeeping principles and supervises cleanup and organization efforts.
Conduct Routine Generator, Fire Pump and other systems weekly tests, checks, logs, and PM tasks.
Coordinates work with team, other departments, and Chief Engineer to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, operational reliability and operational efficiency
Required Qualifications:
HVAC & Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing experience
Ability to work M-F (10am to 6pm)
Flexibility for On-Call, weekend, or overnight work as necessary
Universal level refrigerant recovery license
Strong Computer Skills And Building Automation Systems Experience
Strong oral and written communication skills
High rise building maintenance experience
Strong employee relations, coaching and training skills
Excellent customer service skills
