Job Description

The primary purpose of this position is to assist OrangeBox Enterprises (OBE) to live out its Mission, by providing remarkable service to our Oddball Team. Provides day-to-day administration and support for the organization’s network, infrastructure, endpoints, and software systems in its cloud-hybrid Information Technology (IT) environment. Performs all duties related to network, security, SaaS (Software as a Service), endpoint, and server projects, upgrades, installations, and modifications. Monitors all resources for confidentiality, integrity, and availability in order to maximize trusted system access.

  • Provides hands-on administration and day-to-day management of essential network systems, servers, workstations, and peripherals in a complex multi-platform computing environment. Maximizes business continuity by ensuring network related hardware, software, and endpoints are properly configured and maintained.
  • Manages, monitors, and updates the security infrastructure to include firewalls, switches, wireless access points, Microsoft 365 Defender, endpoint protection solutions, Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems, and video surveillance systems. Responsible for advanced administration of the identity and access management solution which provides secure user authentication into applications through an SSO type interface and federates the organizational Office 365 login domains.
  • Builds and Manages Microsoft Azure Infrastructure. Performs Microsoft 365 administration to include Exchange Online, SharePoint, Microsoft 365 Defender, Microsoft Purview, Endpoint Manager (Intune), Azure Active Directory, and Teams. Configures and maintains the Windows Domain environment using Active Directory, Group Policy, Print Services, and DNS.
  • Provides second level support/troubleshooting to OBE companies via in-person, telephone, MS Teams, remote access, and/or e-mail to assist in resolving hardware, software, and network technology related issues. Recognizes and escalates more difficult issues to the proper OddSquad staff or 3rd party support.
  • Modifies and/or resets user accounts on the Windows network, CINC Core System, and other applications as needed. Maintains user groups and user privilege template groups within the application environments utilized by OBE companies.
  • Installs, configures, and maintains OBE desktop/laptop PCs, mobile devices, and peripherals. Deploys software installs and upgrades in person or via remote access tools as needed.
  • Automates administrator tasks using scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell and Microsoft Power Automate. Creates and maintains built-in automations within software solutions used by the organization. Develops and automates reporting for the OBE environment systems and solutions.
  • Maintains integrations between on-premises systems and cloud-based solutions, and those integrations built directly between Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications.
  • Maintains an accurate asset inventory of computers and related company equipment.
  • Develops policies and procedures as required. Creates and updates internal "Wikis" technical training for OBE staff.
  • Provides technical direction and support to the OBE Team in planning and completion of IT related projects.
  • Remains abreast of computer technology trends and offers recommendations to enhance the OddSquad’s ability to support the IT needs of the Oddball Team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job requirements

Education

An Associate’s degree in Computer Science or closely related field; or three (3) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA, or related technical certification is a plus.

Experience

Three years of experience supporting enterprise server, software, network, and computer operations in on-premises and cloud-based Information Technology (IT) environments.

Skills - Must Have The Following Skills And/or Abilities

  • Knowledge of computer operations/networking and ability to apply them to specific situations
  • Ability to apply a systematic approach to troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Ability to work effectively with fellow team members.
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Windows 10/11 Professional

Physical/Other Requirements Must Be Able To

  • Stand or sit for long periods of time.
  • Lift 10-20 lbs.
  • Climb, stoop, and/or kneel while installing/uninstalling PC equipment or other tasks.
