Job Responsibilities
Prepares and maintains golf course greens, fairways, and other golf course surfaces as required, ensuring compliance with all golfing regulations and standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Possess knowledge in irrigation technologies
- Must be able to dig holes, understand hydraulics and irrigation repair.
- Must be able to work in outdoor conditions year round.
- Electrical Repair (Required)
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of Irrigation and Electrical Repair (Required)
- Knowledge of Rainbird and Toro irrigation systems (Required)
- Knowledge of irrigation parts, ordering and working within a budget (Required)
- Possess a general understanding of golf course maintenance experience (plus but not required)
- Have reliable transportation and be on time for work.
- Ability to complete tasks on time and in coordination with other crew members and their tasks.
- Follow instructions and directions set forth by the Superintendent.
- Maintain valid Florida Driver’ License
Additional Duties & Responsibilities
- Ability to install, operate, troubleshoot and repair manual and/or computerized irrigation systems.
- Knowledge of USGA regulations regarding course settings.
- Knowledge of light equipment operation and/or maintenance.
- Knowledge of fertilizer and/or pesticide applications.
- Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
- Knowledge of golf course maintenance activities to include placement of tees and pins, irrigation techniques, and turf care.
- Must be able to work independently and be a self-starting problem solver.
- Practice and adhere to FirstService Residential Global Service Standards.
- Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct.
- Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules. Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies.
- May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work.
- Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management.
- Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); trainable; and a minimum of six months of related experience or any equivalent combination of related training and experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies

- Knowledge of management and maintenance of greens, fairways and roughs.
- Knowledge of use and operating standards of equipment and tools used in golf course construction and maintenance work.
- Skill in recruiting, supervising, training, monitoring, evaluating and motivating personnel.
- Interpersonal skill to resolve conflict and work with supervisors, officials, employees, members and the general public.
- Knowledge of safe use, mixing and application of chemicals and commercial products.
- Knowledge of the game of golf, golf rules and methods of play.
- Ability to anticipate personnel, equipment, and material requirements related to golf course maintenance and repair assignments.
- Ability and knowledge to lay out irrigation patterns, drainage patterns, construct tees and/or greens.

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects.
- The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
