Position Overview:

As a Human Resources Business Partner at Associa, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our organization's success by providing strategic HR guidance and executing fundamental HR responsibilities. This role requires a proactive and solutions-oriented individual who can collaborate with all levels of the organization to drive a positive employee experience.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, addressing concerns and providing guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Conduct investigations, as needed, and provide resolution recommendations to maintain a positive workplace culture.

 

Talent Acquisition:

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and assist in the recruitment process.
  • Conduct interviews, participate in candidate evaluations, and contribute to the onboarding process.

 

Performance Management:

  • Support managers in performance review processes, providing guidance on goal setting, feedback, and development plans.
  • Implement performance improvement plans when necessary.

 

HR Compliance:

  • Stay current on federal and state employment laws, ensuring company policies and practices are in compliance.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

 

Payroll:

  • Process bi-weekly payroll.

 

Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs within the organization and work with leadership to develop and implement relevant training programs.
  • Support career development initiatives to enhance employee skills and competencies.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field or related relative experience.
  • At least two years of experience in a Human Resources role, with a focus on employee relations, talent acquisition, and performance management.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of employees and managers. Strong persuasion and conflict resolution skills required.
  • SHRM or HRCI certification is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of Human Resource and administrative policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of FMLA/leave administration, performance management, unemployment and workers’ compensation claims, and employee relations.
  • Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and forms.
  • Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques at a proficient level.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) at a proficient level.
  • Confidentiality and discretion in the performance of all duties and responsibilities.
  • Time management and time critical prioritization skills.
  • Candidate sourcing and relationship building skills.
  • Knowledge of Payroll and HRIS systems (ADP experience a plus).

 

Travel Requirements:

  • Travel is required up to 25%.
