Job Description
Works with employees and supervisors to research and resolve employee relations issues
Conducts investigations and recommends solutions regarding employee concerns related to work environment and claims of harassment and discrimination
Provides guidance and support to supervisors in all tasks related to performance management. Assists supervisors in selecting and carrying out appropriate methods for correcting performance deficiencies.
Provides administrative support in the areas of Recruitment, Benefits and Payroll. Routes paperwork, issues and questions to the Regional HR Director.
Manages the full life-cycle recruiting process for all exempt and non-exempt searches including assessing staffing needs, posting job requisitions and job advertisements, screening of all candidates, coordination of interviews, consultation with managers in hiring decisions and extending job offers
Utilize the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to increase efficiencies and identify potential candidates
Responds to candidate inquiries and works to ensure a positive candidate experience
Works closely with the Regional Human Resources Director to drive Associa’s employer brand
Conducts accident investigations to determine cause and discusses proactive solutions with supervisors/managers to prevent recurrence. Provides basic ergonomic guidance for office positions.
Assists division and department supervisors with planning,development, implementation and adaptation of applicable safety programs.Provides guidance and assistance in the development of employee injury prevention, risk management, general office,industrial and vehicle safety programs, and coordinates company-wide safety training programs.
Responds to claims for unemployment insurance, including preparation of supporting documentation and managing the appeals process.
Manages the separation process, including collection of final documents, exit interviews, and sending required documents/final paycheck to the supervisor or departed employee. Completes all required internal notifications regarding separations.
Assists in developing and delivering supervisory-skills and human resources-related training modules and assists in conducting training programs
Coordinates training and/or roll-out of new Company procedures/policies
Assist with other jobs and duties as necessary
Requirements
Requires a minimum of 5 years of directly related HR experience.
BA/BS in Human Resources, Human Resources Certificate or education in Business or related field is preferred
Knowledge of Federal and California employment laws including ADA, FMLA, Workers’ Compensation, and leave laws and benefits, with the demonstrated ability to understand and apply such legal requirements, and interpret and apply complex policies
Recruiting experience required with a proven track record of candidate sourcing
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and critical thinking skills required
Must be detail-oriented and meticulously organized, with excellent follow-through and analytical skills
Must be able to work independently and take the initiative to address issues on a pro-active basis
Problem solving, project management, and presentation skills required
Ability to interface effectively with all levels of employees and managers.Strong persuasion and conflict resolution skills required.
