The HOA Financial Operations Supervisor will work closely with the Vice President of Financial Services to ensure accurate and timely accounting processes are adhered to. This role also includes managing a team of community accounting/bookkeeping specialists, developing efficient processes, and collaborating with the team to support the financial health of the communities.
Team Management
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of community accounting specialists.
- Delegate tasks and ensure adherence to deadlines.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
Financial Record Keeping
- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including daily bank reconciliation, preparation and posting of daily cash receipts, monthly financial reports, and general ledger entries.
- Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and categorized.
- Oversee the use and maintenance of accounting software and other financial tools.
- Train staff on software updates and new functionalities.
- Collaborate with IT to resolve any software-related issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
