About the job

The Groundskeeper with Maintenance Skills is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of property amenities and common areas. This role includes a variety of tasks, ranging from routine cleaning to minor repairs, both indoors and outdoors. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated skills in minor maintenance and a commitment to delivering high-quality Castle Royal service.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain property amenities and common areas, including bathrooms, pools, and recreational spaces.
  • Perform minor repairs as needed to ensure the safety and functionality of all facilities.
  • Sweep, mop, and maintain floors in indoor common areas.
  • Empty trash and maintain cleanliness at doggie stations and other designated trash receptacles.
  • Clean gutters and perform other exterior maintenance tasks to preserve the community's appearance.
  • Be available on-call for urgent maintenance issues and emergencies.
  • Inspect work performed by assigned vendors and submit detailed reports to the Supervisor.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a high standard of property upkeep.
  • Provide exceptional customer service in line with the values and mission of the Castle Group.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skills in cleaning and minor maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including being on-call as needed.

Computer literacy:

Basic command of computer hardware/software is required.

Language requirements:

Multiple language fluency is desirable.

Travel and availability requirements:

May be required to travel for training sessions off-site on an ad-hoc basis.

Ability to work extended hours and weekends based on project requirement. Ability to respond to emergencies and callouts in a timely manner.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Work in an upright standing position for long periods of time. Crawl in small and tight spaces. Ability to work in different environmental working conditions (e.g. heat, cold, wind, rain). Reach with hands and arms. Communicate, receive and exchange ideas and information by means of the spoken and written word.

Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required to meet the job functions; complete all required forms.

Working Conditions:
