Job Description

Security Gate Attendant is to patrol the buildings and grounds of the Association and may maintain records of who enters or leaves the property, either at a front desk or a front gate. They may keep track of signing visitors in and out and monitor incoming deliveries. Security Gate Attendants generally assist with providing guests with information and directions.

Shifts may vary.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Respond to alarms and emergency situations.
  • Make periodic tours to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.
  • Greet incoming guests and tenants, providing information regarding the site and surrounding area as requested by visitors.
  • Guard and monitor premises to prevent theft, property destruction, violence or rules and safety violations.
  • Perform fire prevention, safety and maintenance tasks and parking/traffic enforcement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge of State or local governmental safety requirements.
  • Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques at a proficient level.
  • Professional customer service skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.
  • Interpretation and completion of verbal and/or written instructions at a proficient level.
  • Time management and time critical prioritization skills.

Education And Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • 0 -- 3 years of directly related or closely related experience

Working Conditions

  • Non-Typical office environment (frequent standing, walking, talking, etc.), both inside activities and outside activities.
  • Overtime required (on-call, weekends, 24hr emergency, etc.)

Compensation:

  • $18; direct experience highly considered.
