Job Description
Position Summary
Each Residential Butler will report daily to both General Manager and Lifestyle Director. Team members must be able to deliver the “Effortless Living” premise to all Arte Surfside residents: anticipating their needs and excelling their expectations.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrates excellent customer service, communication and time management skills.
- Assists residents with the reservation of the Amenities and follows up to ensure completion of the request.
- Keeps track of the inventory for Common Areas (Water, Candy, etc.).
- Retrieves packages for the Residents during and after normal Receiving Hours and delivers them to the unit after the Front Desk logs them in the system.
- Prepares/serves beverages and light snacks to residents and their guests.
- Reports Management of any deficiencies noticed during walks around the Common Areas.
- Refers questions that cannot be handled to the Management Office for further assistance.
- May be assigned other duties by the Management Team.
- Follows safety procedures and maintains a safe work environment.
- Shifts are subject to change based on property needs.
- Needs to read and understand The First Service Residential Employee Handbook / Front Desk General Reference Guide.
- CPR certified preferred.
OPERATING SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:
Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalency required. College level courses in business or hospitality preferred.
Experience/Knowledge: Must possess strong customer service background. Two (2) to three (3) years of business experience in similar position preferred. Computer literacy: Command of information system hardware/software is required. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Multiple language fluency is desirable. Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.
Special Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; Standing, sitting, walking and occasional climbing. The employee is required to work at a personal computer for extended periods of time as well as talking on the phone for extended periods of time. Ability to detect auditory and/or visual emergency alarms. Ability to work extended/flexible hours, weekends, and attend Board meetings as required. Driving when necessary.
