Food Runner

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Server/ Runner role is on the forefront of Resident interaction with the dining program for the community. From daily operation of the restaurant and bar, to catering and special events.

 

The ideal candidate possess good judgment and exceptional problem-solving skills. As the face of the dining experience, maintaining positivity and diplomacy in a fast-paced environment is critical while maintaining standards and authentically delivering the Property’s Lifestyle.

 

This opportunity takes place at one of our Luxury High Rise Condominiums in the area of ___.

 

What you will be doing? (Some of your main responsibilities include):

 

Prepare restaurant for lunch / dining by setting decorations, condiments, napkins and utensils

 

Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies

 

Must be able to explain the chef's specialties; identify appropriate wines; answer food preparation questions

 

Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items, etc.

 

Transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording Resident choices; identifying Resident special dietary needs and special requests

 

Serve orders by picking up and delivering patrons' choices from bar and kitchen; deliver accompaniments and condiments from service bars

 

Respond to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs; observing dining process

 

Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs

 

Properly open and pour wine at the tableside

 

Obtain revenues by totaling charges; issuing bill; accepting payment; returning credit card and signature slip to Resident

Schedules: FT & PT; mornings (9am-5pm or earlier), evenings (3pm-11pm)
