Description

 

CantaMia at Estrella is an active adult 55+ community located in Goodyear, Arizona. The central hub of activity is the 29,000 square-foot Village Center. This spectacular facility boasts a large, state-of-the-art fitness center with an aerobics studio, residents also enjoy indoor and outdoor pools and a spa. The Village Center also features a Café for residents and guests to enjoy food and beverage, and we are seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor onsite within this Café.

 

Primarily responsible for managing the daily operations of an onsite café within a Homeowners Association community which includes staffing, ordering, preparing and serving food and liquor to guests and residents.

 

Position Responsibilities

 

  • Supervise and coordinate daily café operations.
  • Hot & Cold Line Cooking.
  • Menu planning to include seasonal dishes and special events.
  • Coordinate special events with Lifestyle Director, Homeowner or community Clubs.
  • Hiring, scheduling and training of café staff.
  • Food preparation including cleaning, cooking, and serving food while adhering to Food Safety Standards.
  • Conducting and scheduling preventative maintenance on all equipment.
  • Order and stock items related to the café.
  • Maintain inventory on all food, liquor and paper goods.
  • Accountable for all inventory and cost control.
  • Assist Community Manager with budgeting and forecasting.
  • Other related duties as directed.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively within the department as well as with other departments.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

 

Physical Demands & Work Environment

 

  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Bending, squatting, lifting up to 30 pounds.
  • Dress in a professional manner and may be required to wear a uniform.
