Position Summary:
Primarily responsible for overseeing the daily operation, monitoring financial performance, ensuring excellent guest experience, scheduling appointments, assisting Spa Manager with inventory, and upholding quality standards across all spa and fitness offerings. The position also will heavily focus on driving new business through marketing and sales efforts.
Position Responsibilities
- Oversee operations in Wellness including Spa, Fitness, Massage, Skincare, Spa Reception, Locker Rooms, Spa Retail.
- Assist Spa & Fitness Manager in achieving monthly sales goals.
- Provide exceptional customer service answering phones, scheduling appointments, and closing out therapist appointments.
- Resolve client concerns, staff disputes and scheduling conflicts professionally.
- Maintain control of inventory and expenses.
- Manage in-spa events and product launches.
- Train and onboard front desk staff and independent contractors.
- Conduct daily walk through of the spa to maintain cleanliness.
- Maintain effective relations and communications with Spa & Fitness Manager as well as other onsite team members.
- Inform and educate guests of memberships and spa services.
- Address member and guest concerns professionally.
- Maintain and build client and community relationships.
- Set a positive example for guest relations.
- Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
- Empower employees to provide excellent customer service.
- Emphasize guest satisfaction during all departmental meetings and focus on continuous improvement.
- Strive to improve service performance.
- Ensure employees understand expectations and parameters.
- Review comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees.
- Supervise ongoing training initiatives and conduct training when appropriate.
- Establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with employees and independent contractors.
- Develop and implement spa programs and treatments specifically designed for the needs and preferences of our 55+ community.
- Stay informed about the latest trends and innovations in senior wellness to continually enhance spa offerings.
- Other related duties as directed.

- Comfortable maintaining operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and Human Resources policies and procedures.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and 2+ years of experience in Spa/Wellness Leadership with luxury-oriented resort spa, destination spa, or private membership spa.
- Experience running a successful customer service/front desk.
- Advanced skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Must be flexible and capable of working hours, to include weekends and holidays as necessary.
- Position involves sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, pushing, shoving, lifting, carrying, and moving objects that can weigh up to 45 lbs. Must be able to transport oneself around the association and recreation center facilities.
- The ability to communicate effectively with a clear and easily understandable voice is necessary for engaging and interaction with individuals within the community.
