Job Description

Family-owned and operated community association management company located in Seminole has an immediate opening in accounting for a G/L (Financial Reporting) Specialist. Candidates must have a minimum of 1-2 years of financial reporting/journal entry experience. Business hours are Monday through Friday from 9-5 with a 1 hour paid lunch.

G/L (Financial Reporting) Responsibilities Include

  • providing timely and accurate monthly financial reports for a portfolio of our clients
  • monitoring and reconciling association bank accounts
  • reviewing general ledger accounts for accuracy
  • coordinating with associations' CPAs for year-end tax returns or audits.
  • preparing annual budget package for distribution to association managers
  • ordering maintenance assessment and special assessment coupons
  • depositing non-assessment checks
  • monitoring FDIC limits for all association accounts
  • acting as the financial liaison between association treasurer and RPM

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years’ experience in accounting, primarily in financial reporting
  • Ability to enter data into a computer quickly and accurately
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.) and Windows operating system
  • Can evaluate, troubleshoot, and follow-up on customer issues.
  • Ability to multi-task, stay focused and self-manage.
  • Strong team orientation and customer focus
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with team members and customers
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be willing to submit to criminal background check and drug screening.
