Job Description

The Financial Coordinator will be part of a dynamic team which handle all the accounting functions of our portfolio. Some of the duties that you will be performing are listed below.

We are a select company looking for the right individual to join our diverse and illustrious team.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Reviewing the P&L for a portfolio of 75 properties
  • Deal with property managers
  • Be responsible for understanding property expenses
  • Tracking capital costs vs. approved budgets
  • Reviewing actual expenses & actual billings vs. budget projections and preparing expense and income roll
  • Processing payables
  • Running same day checks
  • Weekly check runs
  • Handling receivables and processing into Yardi
  • Coordinating with Avidxchange payables service
  • Speaking and emailing with residents who have questions about their charges
  • Assisting the head accountant/financial analyst entering increases in common charges, rents, and assessments
  • Running ledgers and reports in Yardi

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures (US GAAP).
  • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
  • Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
  • Knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) at a proficient level.
  • Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques at a proficient level.
  • Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).
  • Professional customer service skills.
  • Project management at a proficient level.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.
  • Time management and time critical prioritization skills.
  • Knowledge of Strongroom or Complete Control for Communities/C3 Software.
