Job Description
The Facilities Grounds and Life Safety Manager provides the focus for the safety and first impressions of the community for both residents and staff. The Facilities Grounds and Life Safety Manager has the responsibility for developing community safety plans and policies; providing information and training to meet all regulatory requirements as well as Proprietary Lease requirements; providing technical consultation and guidance; conducting exposure and risk assessments; conducting safety audits; monitoring compliance with all safety policies; and investigating accidents, injuries, and reported unsafe conditions.
Assists in providing landscape and grounds management of The Towers property and facilities. Maintains effective working relationships with The Towers Owner, employees, vendors and other Towers partners in support of assigned duties.
This position has the responsibility for the planning, administration and management of fire safety programs throughout the Towers to ensure compliance with all applicable local, state and federal laws, regulations and standards concerning fire and life safety.
The Fire and Life Safety Manager is charged with the responsibility to design, implement, and manage a vigilant fire safety program. The Fire and Life Safety Manager conducts periodic assessments for compliance with the Life Safety Code and is highly effective at identifying and minimizing the risk of fire.
Requirements
- Five (5) years of related experience to include landscape and grounds management, facility management, and some supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Special
- Valid Driver’s License; and
- May be required to work varied work schedule.
- Proven experience in personnel management and ability to plan and schedule work.
- Excellent oral/written communications skills. Strong working knowledge of computer technology to generate letters, policies, databases and reports.
