BACKCOUNTRY COMMUNITY EVENT AND EXPERIENCE MANAGER POSITION FULL TIME/NON-EXEMPT

Event Manager Responsibilities:
The Night/Event Manager is responsible for supporting the General Manager and residents primarily, but will also interact with vendors, board members and committee members as well as staff at the Associa Client Shared Service Center (CSSC) and within the branch office. The Event Manager will also assist the General Manager with oversight and support of the common facilities of the Sundial House and Discovery Center which includes Food & Beverage, Facilities Maintenance, Custodial, Landscaping, Lifestyle Events, etc. Due to the nature of this position, evening and weekend hours are required. Work schedule for this position is 3pm to 11pm Tuesday through Saturday.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Oversee the activities, vendor use and owner use within the Sundial House and Discovery Center buildings during business hours of 4pm – 12pm, Wednesday through Sunday when the private restaurant and pub are operating, and when certain events are scheduled.
- Work with Lifestyle Manager to set up / tear down events and concerts and direct involvement with planning and execution of community events.
- Oversight of rental use of the facilities, working with clients and ensuring a positive experience in the community facilities.
- Responsible for closing procedures and securing community buildings at closing time.
- Oversight of Front Desk concierge staff and customer service expectations.
- Assist General Manager with implementation of Board policy and directives within the scope of the management agreement.
- Acts as lead staff liaison to the Traffic Calming and Safety Committee of the Board.
- Assists with scheduling of local Deputy Patrol shifts within the community.
- Assist with annual budgeting process and with the administration of the various functions of the community within the projected and approved operating budget.
- On behalf of General Manager, serve as the face of Associa management during evening and weekend hours. Customer Service standards will be set by General Manager and executed by Manager.
- Assist with facilities management as needed during night shift hours, working with in-house maintenance staff.
- Review and understand the Management contract requirements.
- Maintain working knowledge of internal systems.
- Coordinate work orders with vendors.
- Other duties as assigned.
ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES:
- Will be involved and responsible for several community events to plan and execute throughout the year.
- Creating and maintaining community communications and advertisements regarding lifestyle events.

Compensation:
- $26-28/hour; direct experience highly considered.
Requirements
SKILLS:
- High level of people skills; you remember Owner’s names, their family members, and can chat up anyone that walks in the door.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Creative thinking and efficient problem solving.
- Ability to deal with a large variety of individuals in a business-like and professional manner.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and handle many tasks at the same time.
- Ability to stay on task amidst frequent interruptions.
EQUIPMENT:
- Proficiency in use of computer, copier, fax machine, scanner, and telephone systems.
- Proficiency in various software applications to include Microsoft Office and online communication platforms.
- Ability to fix and repair minor in-house maintenance items is a plus.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
- Experience planning and executing events and concerts is preferred.
