Associa is hiring an Events Coordinator to research, plan, schedule and facilitate events for a 55+ active adult community in Taneytown, MD. This person will also assist the GM in supporting homeowners, residents, committee members and members of the Board of Directors.
Hours are 9am - 5pm and some nights, weekend, and holidays due to meetings and scheduled events.

Associa is hiring an Events Coordinator to research, plan, schedule and facilitate events for a 55+ active adult community in Taneytown, MD. This person will also assist the GM in supporting homeowners, residents, committee members and members of the Board of Directors.
Hours are 9am - 5pm and some nights, weekend, and holidays due to meetings and scheduled events.
Daily responsibilities:
- Get to know the homeowners and residents, understanding their hobbies and special interests.
- Research vendors, plan, schedule, coordinate, and facilitate community events and socials, themed events, pot lucks, pool parties, arts and crafts classes, fitness classes, etc.
- Maintain event sign -up sheets to attend events.
- Advertise events within the community, utilizing in-house software and newsletter.
- Gather community information, organize, and proofread data to insert in the community newsletter.
- Act as a liaison among committee members.
- Attend committee meetings and Board meetings.
- Update and maintain event calendar.
- Manger meeting room reservations,
- Coordinate with staff meeting room event set up, break down, and materials required for event.
- Coordinate vendors onsite.
- Assist the Onsite Manager with other tasks and specials projects as directed.
- High school diploma required; Associates degree preferred.
- 2+ years of related event coordination experience.
- Customer service driven; team oriented; collaborative spirit.
- Proactive with excellent communication (written and spoken), follow-up, and time management skills.
- Flexible, attention to detail, and the ability toprioritize tasks.
- Conflict resolution techniques.
