Summary

Coordinate all functions of the Escrow process and other general accounting activities. Effectively interact with colleagues, management, clients and vendors. Work with various department representatives throughout the company to ensure that all requests are completed to meet the needs of our clients.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Respond to emails and calls from agents, appraisers, escrow companies, lenders, homeowners, and team members within one business day.
  • Complete lender questionnaires
  • Assist homeowners with any questions they may have pertaining to their open escrow
  • Note the account when a property is in escrow or when it cancels
  • Ensure accurate information all on accounts for escrow disclosure
  • Ensure information is provided with disclosures for associations that are in litigation, have special assessments, specialized fees to be collected, etc.
  • Gather, review and upload all necessary documents to database to meet Association disclosure requirements.
  • Process all closed escrows, including, but not limited to: processing settled account refunds, processing account adjustments, responding to refund inquiries, initiating communication with lenders and/or homeowner escrow companies for outstanding balances owed, and mailing new homeowner welcome letters.
  • Maintain and purge escrow files at the end of the calendar year.

  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and time management abilities while working in a fast-paced, multitasking environment
  • Set and communicate deadlines and follow through on tasks for clients and colleagues
  • Work independently and in a team environment

Accounting Skills

Property Management background a plus

AR/AP experience

Detail oriented, analytical and proactive

Minimum Education

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Language Skills

The individual must have strong written communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with employees and clients at all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing.

Availability and physical environment

Regular business hours and overtime as required. The physical requirements include typing, using a computer, sitting and standing, attend meetings with clients and occasional lifting of no more than 10 pounds.
