Job Description
The Escrow/Resale Specialist is responsible for all of the opening, closing, and maintenance of escrow accountsincluding document creation. Individuals in this position may interact with escrow customers. The day-to-dayresponsibilities of an Escrow/Resale Specialist typically involve opening escrow orders, review and verification offinal and closing documents, preparing customer billing statements and answering escalated questions regardingbillings. Additionally responsible for escrow logs, reports, and other files.
Daily responsibilities:
- Communicate requirements and other information to clients including title exceptions.
- Prepare and review documents for closing and handle the disbursement and follow up of all escrowtransactions.
- Open orders, input closing statements from a worksheet prepared by escrow officers.
- Interpret earnest money agreements as they relate to closing and prepare all documents required fortransactions.
- Acquire all information needed to prepare required documents and escrow instructions from all parties.
- Request Inspection reports.
- Submit Buyer(s) for Membership Approval.
- Balance escrow file.
- Draft checks and closing statements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 3+ years of related experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and business correspondence (grammar, structure, punctuation, spelling, etc.) at a proficient level.
- Excellent customer service skills, communication skills (written and spoken), time management and time critical prioritization skills.
- Ability to interpret and complete verbal and written instructions at a proficient level.
