The Equity Compensation Analyst will be responsible for the overall management and administration of equity plan records, including new grants, equity transactions, vendor management, reporting and analysis.

Your impact

  • Oversee day-to-day administration of equity compensation programs, including processing equity awards, stock option exercises, RSU releases, one-off restricted stock transactions and (future state) ESPP plan.
  • Manage stock plans and Equity Edge Online database through E*Trade, maintaining the highest integrity of data.
  • Ensure compliance with governing stock plans, regulatory rules and statutory rules, including securities and tax rules and regulations of all applicable foreign jurisdictions (working with internal and external counsel and other advisors as appropriate).
  • Serve as the go-to resource for equity compensation at AppFolio.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis on equity compensation data.
  • Develop employee education and communication materials.
  • Support the Legal & Compliance team, as required to comply with Section 16 officers and directors reporting, including Form 3 and Form 4 filings, 10b5-1 transactions, and maintenance of trading blocks to other designated ‘Insider’ accounts.
  • Increasing involvement in other compensation related areas over time, including Executive compensation and Board reporting, based on developed proficiency in the above areas.

Qualifications

  • Ability to learn quickly, self-starter. Self-directed individual with initiative, interpersonal, time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Excel user and proficiency in using the G-Suite and MS suite of products.
  • You pursue training and opportunities for growth and strive to continuously build knowledge and skills.
  • You have attention to detail and look for ways to improve and promote quality. You apply feedback to improve performance and monitor your own work to ensure quality.
  • You are a good listener and get clarification when needed. You respond quickly and effectively to questions from internal customers. You speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations. You write clearly and informatively.

Must have

  • Hold a BA/BS degree
  • Experience working for a public company in the Finance or Human Resources area
  • Proven organizational skills and attention to detail

Nice to have

  • Proficiency using Equity Edge Online / Etrade
  • Prior equity administration experience

Compensation & Benefits

The base salary/hourly wage that we reasonably expect to pay for this role is: $72,000-$108,000

The actual base salary/hourly wage for this role will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to: the candidate’s skills, education, experience, etc.

Please note that base pay is one important aspect of a compelling Total Rewards package. The base pay range indicated here does not include any additional benefits or bonuses/commissions that you may be eligible for based on your role and/or employment type.
