Job Description

 

Associa is looking for a Human Resources Generalist! We would like to add an HR Generalist that is highly professional and looking to work in support of two of the largest branches in the East region of our organization.

 

This position is onsite but has a flexible, team-oriented environment where taking time away from the office is understood. After the introductory period, there may be an option to work remotely one day a week. However, the role will require onsite presence in both our Chantilly VA, and Falls Church, VA offices on a weekly basis.

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

 

  • Conduct and manage new hire onboarding and orientation.
  • Serve as main point of contact for employee training.
  • Support and manage Leave of Absences (FMLA, Personal, Workers Compensation)
  • Recruiting support
  • Complete employer responses to unemployment claims
  • Assist in projects, such as HR/Employee Engagement events, benefits open enrollment, employee communications and company-wide meetings.
  • Assist HR Manager with employee relations issues.
  • Other HR duties as needed.

 

Requirements

 

Requirements:

 

  • General knowledge Human Resource and administrative policies and procedures.
  • Some knowledge of FMLA/leave administration, unemployment, workers' compensation claims, and employee relations preferred.
  • Confidentiality and discretion in the performance of all duties and responsibilities.
  • Must have strong time management and organization skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, etc.) at a proficient level.

 

Education and Experience

 

  • Associate degree or equivalent preferred
  • 1-3 years of directly related or closely related experience.
  • Adminstrative Assistant experience a plus
  • Client facing customer service experience a plus
