Job Description

Job Summary

Associa is seeking an engineering manager to be a key member of our Community Archive team. If you are looking forward to putting into practice your people and tech skills, Community Archive is the place!

Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Building, scaling, and mentoring a team of software and quality engineers.
  • Being a leader and an example for others.
  • Managing engineers, doing 1:1s, giving and receiving feedback, and helping them improve their careers.
  • Continuously improving the team’s agile practices.
  • Being responsible for the team’s outcomes and deliveries.
  • Helping with technical and feature decisions.
  • Fostering and spreading the company’s culture.

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Be fluent in software engineering and design patterns.
  • Have strong experience managing development teams.
  • Have strong experience managing people.
  • Have time management and critical prioritization skills.
  • Have leadership skills.
  • Communicate in English comfortably.
  • Know how to provide technical guidance.

Preferred, but not required:

  • Experience with continuous integration.
  • Experience with APIs and system integration.
  • Experience with international and multicultural teams.
  • Familiarity with AWS or other cloud computing platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
