Job Description
Direct daily supervision of the Security Guard staff assigned to the site's Homeowners Association. Full scope of direct supervision from the Security Operations Supervisor for Desert Resort Management in the implementation of the Security program and the policies as set forth by the Community Association Manager and the Board of Directors. Supervises the Security Guards' activities of all permanent and temporary Security Guards assigned to standing and/or patrol posts for the HOA.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follows broadly based directions.
- Operates directly within the guidelines as set forth by Desert Resort Management, the Community Association Manager, Security Operations Supervisor and the Board of Directors.
- Informs and reports through daily, weekly, and monthly scheduled communication.
- Trains and develops security guards from a group that has been screened, tested, background checked and processed by Desert Resort Management.
- Ensures work group members receive specialized training in the proper functioning and/or execution of vehicles, radio communication, phones, computer use, gate operations, familiarity with State and Federal Law, patrol techniques, the Association’s Rules and Regulations, the writing of clear and concise Incident/Initial reports and Desert Resort Management company procedural operations.
- Ensures the shift supervisors are trained adequately to perform their duties, as assigned by Desert Resort Management. (If applicable)
- Ensures the proper operation and maintenance of equipment used by officers, including, but not limited to, vehicles, radios, surveillance cameras, and computers. Also is responsible for informing the appropriate parties regarding the proper maintenance of the gate(s) and/or barrier arm(s).
- Ensures the registration of all vehicles and golf carts following procedures as established by the Homeowners Association and Desert Resort Management.
- Ensures all vehicular traffic is monitored, including, but not limited to, entry requirements, parking requirements and towing requirements.
- Provides, on an annual basis, Performance Evaluations on employees under his/her supervision.
- Monitors and reviews the recordings from the various surveillance cameras.
- Reads and analyzes daily reports from security guards and memoranda from Desert Resort Management.
- Assists in developing and/or updating manuals, procedures, specifications, etc., relative to organizational requirements and needs.
- Plans, directs, and controls a wide variety of operational assignments by the Security Team, Desert Resort Management, the Community Association Manager, the Security Operations Supervisor, the Board of Directors and Homeowners in the execution of the Security Program.
- Other duties as assigned.

Compensation:
$21 per hour; direct experience highly considered.

Education And Experience
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- 0 – 3 years of directly related or closely related experience
Certifications or Licenses
- Guard Card Required
- Valid Driver's License
Working Conditions
- Non-Typical office environment (frequent standing, walking, talking, etc.), both inside activities and outside activities.
- Overtime required (on-call, weekends, 24hr emergency, etc.)
