Job Description
JOB TITLE: DOORMAN
DEPARTMENT: FSR
RREPORTS TO: PROPERTY MANAGER
SUMMARY:
Doormen are responsible for assisting customers or residents as they arrive or depart from such
establishments as hotels, luxury apartments/condos, and nightclubs, to name a few. They are
responsible for ensuring building safety and security for tenants, providing assistance to tenants
with their packages and luggage, and assisting all tenants entering or leaving the building by
opening the building's doors.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Include, but not limited to the following:
- Greet and welcome all residents, members, and guests.
- Develop positive relationships with residents and vendors.
DELIVERY ADMINISTRATION:
- Greeted high profile residents
- Effectively communicated with residents to announce
guests, deliveries etc
- Served concierge style services for residents with knowledge
of community events, eateries, car services and local
attractions
- Provided security to maintain only authorized persons
entered the premise
- Performed other duties as requested
- Ensure building safety and security for tenants such as guest
registration guidelines
- Provided excellent services to tenants such as assistance
with packages and luggage
- Assisted all tenants entering or leaving the building by
properly opening building doors
RESPONSIBILITIES MAY ALSO INCLUDE:
- All logs are to be updated, checked and initialed daily, and must contain all
relevant information.
- Incidents requiring follow-up action must be reported to Management immediately.
- Log books, include, but are not limited to:
- Visitor Sign In Log
- Front Desk Manual
- Package and Envelope Log/System
- Daily Issue Log
- Incident Report Log
- Valet Cart Log
- Resident Information Log
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
- As an employee and member of the staff, this position may be asked to assist in other
areas of the facility. Cooperation is assumed and required.
- All staff members will work together to provide the superior service.
- Each employee will be required to fully understand all services and programs.
- As new services and programs are introduced, the position will become aware of each
service and program and be able to sell and explain it to the residents, members and
guests.
- Follow the staff attire guidelines.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED; one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent
combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability
to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,
common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent and to draw and
interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral,
or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in
standardized situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software;
Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
