Salary Range: $110K-$120K
FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client’s property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client’s directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Job Summary
The Director of Training & Organizational Development is responsible for managing organizational development activities, change initiatives and projects, including consulting, support to the business in terms of changes to processes, systems, structure, culture, and/or ways of working.
This role, reporting into the Regional VP of HR is responsible for facilitating training, employee development and processes to enable successful implementation of organizational development, operational training and change management initiatives.
The role will ensure alignment with strategic business objectives and maintain high quality standards in instructional design and development for all methods of program delivery and encompassing all segments of FirstService Residential including Associates and Clients.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Implements organizational design initiatives and training curriculum, fostering the development of organizational capabilities and systems needed to support the execution of the business strategy within the markets.
- Conducts assessments and uses data to provide consultation on organizational effectiveness interventions that will close gaps from current to desired future state in employee effectiveness, performance and engagement
- Monitors and continually improves the effectiveness of Organizational Development and Operational programs to ensure advancement of the organizational strategy and culture.
- Partners with Senior Leaders, teams, finance, HR and Operations, to ensure integration of Organizational Development work with other core organizational and talent programs, curriculum and concepts such as succession planning, performance management, onboarding, competencies and other HR/talent work and priorities.
- Conducts organizational assessments & diagnostics for team & organization development, using defined methodologies to identify critical issues and root causes and implementing appropriate solutions to improve individual, team & organizational effectiveness.
- Closely works with the VP of Operations. HR and Training Team to ensure operational training effectiveness, successful new hire onboarding and support to the business
- Demonstrates exceptional project management skills: creates project plans, manages project implementation, creates teams, provides thought leadership, and engages with stakeholders to gather and share data, mobilizes teams to adopt the new approaches.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and learning solutions/programs within budget, timeliness and hitting key performance indicators.
- Design new class curriculum as needed based on company needs, new industry trends, legal updates, tools, processes and technologies as well as input from company leaders.
- Coordinate class schedule for all new associates and with all faculty, including vendor partners for advanced classes as needed.
- Proficient and effective presenter of training materials.
- Act as a liaison to Regional and Nation training teams
- Provide on-going training and support for proprietary software, financial statements, board packet and other community management related training needs.
- Continually build awareness of best practices and their potential application to company procedures, then implement and keep Wikis current to reflect changes.
- Provide advice and strategic thinking to all Senior Management staff as requested for creative staff alignment/assignments to meet company and client needs.
- Foster excellent relationships with Regional leaders in all regions to provide training opportunities for FirstService Residential associates.
- Oversees the preparation of the department communications, which may include but is not limited to collateral material, training tools, and web site content.
- Responsible for department budget monitoring which includes the creating and approval of the department budget and business plan.
- Develop and implement measurement tools to demonstrate effectiveness of training programs.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct.
- Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules. Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies.
- May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work.
- Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management.
- Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position leads a training team of 5-7 and is an active supporter of FirstService Residential philosophies and culture to staff, clients, and community that advances the FirstService Residential brand in terms of image, reputation, differentiation, and professionalism.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Organizational Behavior, Organizational Development, HR, with relevant business, OD, change management, consulting and HR functional experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- At least 4 - 7 years of experience in Organizational Development, with strong knowledge of the Organizational Effectiveness, Change Management, HR, Talent Management.
- Exceptional Project Management skills, set experience with managing multiple projects, with multiple clients simultaneously with great success.
- Demonstrated expertise in organizational design, job analysis/design, implementing and managing culture change and transformation initiatives.
- Strong knowledge and experience in organizational development and effectiveness interventions, best practices, and applications.
- Demonstrated experience managing large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Demonstrated strategic leadership and ability to understand the strategic context, translate organizational change implications and generate a change approach, solutions that drives the desired results.
- Demonstrated success working with and managing cross-functional teams, committees, councils in identifying organizational development gaps, defining solutions, and managing the implementation with tangible results.
- Knowledge and experience in utilizing organizational development models and assessment tools
- Ability to travel 30%. Must be able to travel and drive to various locations throughout the region in order to meet with market Leadership and HR Teams
