About the job

The Director of Process Improvements is responsible for process improvements across CCMC and acquired companies Community Financial Services functions. This role will also support the tactical execution of post-merger integration plans impacting accounting operations and systems. This is a cross-functional accounting role that combines strong accounting expertise with technical and leadership skills to ensure smooth financial operations, system conversions, and vendor integrations. The Director of Process Improvements will partner with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to streamline processes, resolve issues, and deliver scalable solutions that drive efficiency and business growth through technology and AI. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who can manage large teams, while driving operational excellence and system transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

Management Responsibilities

  • Oversee core community financial services functions including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury.
  • Coordinate with Community Financial Services leadership to align policies, procedures, and controls with functional standards and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure alignment of accounting practices across functions to support organizational goals and financial transparency.
  • Manage large accounting teams and support multiple functions, ensuring consistency in processes.
  • Provide direction and leadership to staff through change management initiatives such as system conversions or operational restructuring.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability within the financial services teams.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Evaluate current processes, develop and implement best practices to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability within the Community Financial Services function.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system and process issues in a timely manner.
  • Participate in client meetings to understand needs, address concerns, and deliver solutions.

Post Merger Integration Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with third-party vendors to implement and manage integrations for more efficient workflows.
  • Partner with IT, vendors, and business leaders to ensure integrations are implemented smoothly, with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Collaborate with the Growth and Transformation team to develop and manage detailed integration project plans, timelines, and deliverables across all Community Financial functions.
  • Prepare and present findings, recommendations, and integration strategies to stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Serve as subject matter expert between Community Financial Services and IT during system upgrades and process automation initiatives.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships to ensure successful execution of integration initiatives.

AI & Technology Integration

  • Partner with IT and Community Financial Services to identify AI and automation opportunities.
  • Oversee pilot programs and rollouts for AI-driven tools.
  • Lead training and adoption programs for staff on new systems and technologies.

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of experience in similar role within Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounting functions: general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury.
  • Proven experience leading large accounting teams and managing multiple functions.
  • Strong background in system integration, ERP implementation, and accounting software conversions.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues and deliver effective solutions.
  • Experience leading client meetings and resolving concerns with professionalism.
  • Skilled in preparing and presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Experience with AI as a tool to improve workflow efficiency (preferred).
  • Experience in HOA/community association management, property management, or service-based organizations (preferred).
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
